I’m not sure why we humans went all in on this “what would you take to a desert island” trope, which seems to assume we’ll both be aware — ahead of time — about this marooning and that we’ll somehow not able to also plan for our rescue.

Moving beyond the cursory list of things THC can do that feels a lot like the list of things I feel compelled to share so you don’t think I’m a pothead, I’d be remiss in pointing out how absolutely brilliant I become after approximately 5 grams of THC has magically metabolized. The ideas I have! Here are three — please don’t steal them. These are all part of my retirement planning.

As a 51-year-old mother to two fully grown humans, I am relatively certain that "Jet Lag: The Game" was not created with my demographic in mind. Maybe it's part of the charm for me — one can only muster so much enthusiasm for yet another Hot Menopause Take (spoiler alert: menopause is, in fact, hot, and not in the good way, but in the sweaty-panic way). So, there’s no unifying theme on this blog. It’s called “Off the Record” as a nod to my day job, but that’s as structured as we’re going to get here. I might post about my cats or my family or my job or most likely, stuff I like that I hope you’ll like, too. I have no idea what might come up here, but I promise whatever it is, it will be real.
